The SO-CLOSE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 870939. This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
What data do we collect?
SO-CLOSE collects anonymised data: visit and basic demographic data (number of users, events count, engagement time, country or origin and language)

How do we collect your data?
We collect data and process data when you:
- Get in touch with us through the contact form or any other means provided in the webpage (telephone number, email addresses, etc.).
- Voluntarily complete the feedback survey.
- Google Analytics services.
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
How will we use your data?
SO-CLOSE collects your data so that we can:
- Process your request for using the tools or media that are published in the webpage, and related queries.
- Assess the user experience and engagement with the project.
- Report to the Research Executive Agency on the project’s results.
How do we store your data?
SO-CLOSE securely stores your data at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) repositories, of limited access to Consortium members only and encrypted.
We will keep your anonymized data for 5 years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by destroying the corresponding files.
What are your data protection rights?
SO-CLOSE would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request SO-CLOSE for copies of your personal data.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that SO-CLOSE correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request SO-CLOSE to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that SO-CLOSE erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that SO-CLOSE restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to SO-CLOSE’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that SO-CLOSE transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Terms & Conditions
Sharing any media with the SO-CLOSE project you remain the author and owner of these media and you have the right to be recognised as such when the media is displayed, to decide the licence under which your media will be published (what other people can do with it), and to retrieve your information any time you want. As the owner/provider of the media you have the obligation to ask for the consent of other people that may appear in the photos, for publishing their image, voice, personal data etc.
You can only use media published in any of the SO-CLOSE projects, if these are published with a rights licence that allows re-use and under the conditions described (CC-BY, CC-BY-NC, etc.). No copyrighted media can be used without the explicit consent of the rights holder. If the licence information is not visible, get in touch with the project sending a query.
